MEDICAL PRACTITIONER - REGISTRATION STATUS

Please select from the following:

1. A graduate of a Medical School in Australia or New Zealand

   OR

2. An international Medical Graduate ("IMG") who has successfully completed the Australian Medical Council ("AMC") examinations. This comprises both the AMC - Multiple Choice Question ("MCQ") examination AND the AMC Clinical Examination

   OR

3. An IMG seeking conditional registration in Western Australia who has not completed both of the AMC examinations listed above
   
   Please note the following:
   1. From 1 July 2008, an IMG must provide the following documentation to support an application for conditional registration under his/her selected pathway to conditional registration as follows:
      • Competent Authority Pathway - provide evidence of receipt of the AMC Certificate of Advanced Standing; OR
      • Standard Pathway - provide evidence of successfully completing the AMC MCQ examination; OR
      • Specialist Pathway - provide a letter of support from the relevant Australian specialist medical college.
   2. Commencing 1 December 2008, a structured clinical interview ("the Interview") will be required according to the Board's Policy
   3. The latest AMC MCQ examination dates for the Standard Pathway are available on the AMC website amc.org.au. Please be very aware of the closing dates for credentialing as a pre-requisite for the AMC MCQ examination. The credentialing dates will determine what AMC MCQ dates are available in the future.
